There is a convergence happening between two mediums – video and computer networking. This convergence allows captivating video content to be delivered anywhere on the globe to computers, televisions, and mobile devices. It is called IP Video. VBrick hardware brings IP Video solutions to our network, allowing us to deliver our own television content, rich-media webinars, on-demand video, and more using our existing network infrastructure.

To enhance this experience, through a partnership with DirecTv, all campuses in Gonzales now receive ten digital channels. These channels can be selected by the district and changed at any time.  Currently we are receiving NBC, The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, CNN, History Channel, PBS, A & E, C-Span, TLC, and ESPN. DirecTv has supplied all of the installation equipment, receivers and programming free of charge to the district.  

For future projects we hope to use the VBrick equipment to deliver announcements at the various campuses to include video, provide student led broadcasts of special events, presentations and occasions, and reach out to our local community.
