North Avenue Early Release

On Monday, May 20, 2013, North Avenue Intermediate UIL students will attend the district meet in Cuero beginning at 1:00 pm.

In order to accommodate students and coaches, it is necessary for North Avenue to have an early release for all students NOT participating in the UIL meet. Therefore, North Avenue students will be dismissed at 11:40 am. Please make arrangements to pick up your student at that time.

Any student not picked up at 11:45 will remain at school where they will stay until regular dismissal time. They will be supervised by North Avenue staff. At regular dismissal time, they will then load the buses to go home.

4th Grade G/T Class

The 4th grade Gifted and Talented class at Gonzales Elementary recently read a book called A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. The students were so moved by the plight of the Lost Boys of Sudan and the water crisis that South Sudan is experiencing that they decided to create a video and do a fund raiser for Water for South Sudan, Inc.
