Before you begin, please read the following instructions:

1) Use the online application if you are applying for any administration, teaching related or licensed professional position (e.g., principal, teacher, nurse, coach, librarian, diagnostician).
2) The approximate time to complete the application is 15-20 minutes.

You will be asked for the following specific information, please have the following information available when completing the application:

  • College/universities attended, degree earned, and major and minor subjects areas.
  • Certificate, license, and/or permit type, level, description/field code.
  • Prior work experience including dates of employment, district or organization name, principal or supervisor, phone number, subject areas (if applicable), grade level.
  • Professional reference information including name, title, school/company, phone, email.
4) Certain fields have been identified in red. These fields are required and your application may not be accepted unless these fields are completed.
5) Once you have submitted your application, you will see immediately on your screen an acknowledgement of receipt. This message indicates your application is available electronically to hiring officials.
6) The on-line application is the only item needed for the district's official application process. Do not submit cover letter, resumes, or other additional information to GISD. If selected for an interview, you may need to provide transcripts, certificates, and other relevant information that demonstrates your proficiency and completion status.
7) By submitting this application, you certify that the information provided in the application and any other supporting documents is true and correct. You understand that any false information or failure to disclose any required information will constitute sufficient grounds for termination of employment.
