My name is Tamela Baker.This is my 15th year of teaching.I have taught fourth grade language arts all 15 years.
I was born and raised in Gonzales and graduated from Gonzales High School in 1992.I attended Southwest Texas State University for 2 years before transferring and finishing my degree at the University of Houston in Victoria.I graduated in December of 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in English.I am married to Clay Baker and we have two children.
I believe every child has the ability to learn.I strive to make sure my classroom is a room in which students feel comfortable, safe and challenged.There is no greater satisfaction than seeing a student succeed at something he/she felt they could not do.
