Hi!I’m Carrie Oliver. I am a graduate of Gonzales High School and Texas A&M.I am certified to teach 1st through 8th grade.I am also GT and ESL certified. I’ve been teaching for a total of 15 years in a variety of grades, all of which have been in GISD. I have been a third grade teacher for 11 years and currently teach third grade math and science.I am also the U.I.L. coordinator for Gonzales Elementary and the third grade U.I.L. oral reading coach.
The highlight of teaching for me is to see students get excited about their learning.I try to make math fun by incorporating games and hands on activities as often as possible. My goal as a teacher is for each student to believe in themselves, do their very best, and enjoy learning.
I live in a rural part of Gonzales county with my husband Wesley and two beautiful daughters Sophie and Kenna.Sophie is a fifth grader at North Avenue and Kenna is four.We enjoy spending time together outside hunting for rocks and arrowheads, exploring the fields, and working and playing in our yard.I also love to read and scrapbook.
