Hello my name is Janice Lampkin. I work at Gonzales Elementary for four years. I really enjoy working here at Gonzales Elementary. I work as a Focus Redirector, ISS and DHall. I enjoy being around the kids here at G.E. They are a great bunch of kids and they keep it real there at G.E.
I was born and raised here in Gonzales. I graduated from Gonzales High in 1974, which was a great year: Gonzales Apaches Basketball State Champions. One year after graduation, I worked as a Teacher Aide at Gonzales Junior High (Math) for three years, moved to Junction City, Kansas and worked in JCISD as a Behavior Mod Aide. Later, back to Texas and worked again at Gonzales High School as a P.E. Aide.
I did some studies at Victoria College, SWTSU(Texas State) and Kaplan University. Just a few hours and I will have my B.S. of Psychology. Education is very important to me.
I have three sons, Gary, Greg and Gerald Clack. They also graduated from Gonzales High. I have six grandchildren that are very dear to my heart: Zach, Sydney, Megan, Jacob, Mallory and Ashlynn. They can keep you busy and when I’m with them my heart beat so fast, because I love to be around them when I can.
Whatever I can do for families or any of the kids at school, I do my very best to be there for them or try to see what I can do for them. I do not like to see any kid without. Kids are very important to me. One thing you should remember is that they did not ask to come into the world, we brought them into the world and you have to take care of them, because they can’t do it by themselves. They have to be taught, loved and taken care of by all means necessary.
