I am a second grade teacher and have a bilingual self-contained classroom. I have worked with Spanish-speaking students on both the Jr. High campus and the North Avenue campus before coming to Gonzales Elementary. I really enjoy working with children and am so happy to be in Gonzales!
I was born and raised about an hour north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and have lived in Texas for six years. I started my schooling in Pennsylvania at the University of Slippery Rock, then transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio where I finished my Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish. I also have two minor degrees, one in English as a Second Language and the other is in Linguistics. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 8th grade bilingual. I plan to continue my formal education in the future.
I have lived near Gonzales for almost two years with my four children. We love to ride our horses, and are training and competing in barrel race competitions.
