Hello everyone!!!! …It’s P.E Time!!! Physical Education is a world of excitement of fun here at G.E.
In order to have excitement you have to have a person who is a full of smiles, hugs and laughter.
Yes, that’s me, Donna Smith, who enjoys every moment in teaching young children to move, get fit for life and have fun doing it at the same time. My job is exciting and the love for the kids makes me look forward to coming to my job.
I have been teaching Physical Education for many years, and coaching girls’ sports (basketball, volleyball, and track) before coming to the elementary level. I’ve been a Girls Coordinator at Patti Welder Junior High in Victoria, TX. Oh, by the way, I’m from Victoria TX, where I graduated from Stroman High School. Later I was graduated from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX, now known as Texas A&M University-Kingsville. While attending college I was a part of the President’s Ambassador Club, Kappa Sweet (Kappa Alpha Psi), and college cheerleader (head). I was graduated with a B.S. in Education and specialized in Kinesiology (P.E.), with a minor in Psychology.
I’m married to Robert Smith, who brought me to Big Gonzales, TX. I help raised 3 step kids, Kenneth, Ashley and Robert jr. and my son Rockeem Collins who now attends Texas A&M University, playing college football at the same college I attended. Now I have two wonderful grandsons Brealin, 3 years of age and Bryson, 1 year old (Ashley kids).
When I first came to Gonzales, I taught Physical Education at the Junior High Level as well as coaching girl’s sports(basketball, volleyball and track) and later came to G.E. to the wonderful world of elementary P.E. I thank you all for letting me teach your darling kids, whom I treasure them dearly.
