My name is Loretta Schurig and this is my 22nd year to teach and I have taught all 22 of them with GISD. I am currently the Dyslexia Facilitator for Gonzales ISD and I love working with students who have dyslexia. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University which is now Texas State in 1991. I am also a Certified Academic Language Therapist and I received my training from the Scottish Rite Learning Center in Austin.
I am married to my wonderful husband Tyree of 21 years and we have 2 children. Ashley who is a Sophomore at A & M University in Corpus Christi and Robert who is a Junior at GHS a football player on the JV football team. I love to spend time with my family, playing with our dogs Precious and Pippi, reading, and scrapbooking in my free time.
