Chapter 41 Election Reminder

About the Election:

In order to have local control, GISD must hold an election. By holding a local election to determine how the money will be recaptured, GISD maintains local control of our local tax base. Additionally, holding an election to choose two options ensures that in the event the district is no longer Chapter 41, the district would no longer be required to send the amount of recapture to another district or to the state

Where Do I Vote?

Early Voting Dates: September 15-26,

DSDC (Behind Administration Office)

Sept. 15th-19th, Time: 8:00am-4:00pm

Sept. 22nd-23rd, Time: 7:00am-7:00pm

Sept. 24th-26th, Time: 8:00am-4:00pm

Harwood Community Center:

Sept. 19, 8:00am-4:00pm

Election Day: Sept. 30, 2014

Who Can Vote:

Residents of Gonzales ISD who are registered

voters. A photo ID will be required to vote.

Dear Gonzales ISD School Family,

     I hope that you have had the pleasure of many adventures with your children, family and friends! We have been busy preparing the campuses, budgets and new staff for the students' and staffs' return for the new school year 2014-2015. We will soon welcome back our great teachers and staff as well as our new employees! We look forward to working together to make this year a special one for all of GISD.
